Cérélia's newly established Frozen Breakfast Business Unit is driving an ambitious growth strategy, backed by two manufacturing facilities: US Waffle in Liberty, SC, and US Waffle in Hazelwood, MO. To effectively support the rapid scaling of operations at our state-of-the-art Hazelwood facility, Cérélia is seeking a dynamic and skilled Maintenance Manager to join our team in Hazelwood, MO.
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading all maintenance within the facility to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient production operations. This role oversees preventative maintenance programs, equipment reliability, troubleshooting, spare parts management, contractor coordination, and maintenance personnel development. The Maintenance Manager plays a critical role in minimizing downtime, improving equipment performance, and driving operational excellence across the plant.. A strong leadership approach will be key, with ‘team first’ attitude. You will be flexible, self-accountable and have an enabling and influencing approach with the entire plant team. Together with your team you reinforce and secure the technical foundation of the organization.

To effectively support the rapid scaling of operations at our state-of-the-art Hazelwood facility, Cérélia is seeking a dynamic and skilled Maintenance Manager to join our team in Hazelwood, MO.
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading all maintenance within the facility to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient production operations. This role oversees preventative maintenance programs, equipment reliability, troubleshooting, spare parts management, contractor coordination, and maintenance personnel development. Primary Responsibilities
- Daily managing, developing and coaching of your maintenance team.
- Knowing how attract, bind and motivate your team of technical professionals.
- Recommend and support your maintenance team in all troubleshooting and repairs including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, production line equipment, from the raw to finished product stage.
- Develop, implement and monitor a reliable strategy for preventative maintenance and equipment management that minimizes production downtime and failures.
- Utilize CMMS systems to manage work orders, preventative maintenance schedules, spare parts inventory, and equipment history.
- Build the capital budget and manage the submission and execution of capital expenditure requests.
- Develop and implement a maintenance program to keep all production machinery, utilities and buildings up to date.
- Develop, implement and monitor the budget for maintenance.
- Sponsor and encourage a culture of continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives in production.
- Develop, implement and maintain strategies and processes to obtain ongoing and continuous improvement in operational safety.
- Work together with production management staff to assist in developing training programs for all production personnel on operating and maintaining the production equipment.
- Support the design and implementation of capital projects.
- Comply and adhere to SQF, WSIB and GMP standards, requirements, practices and regulations of site operations.
- Work jointly with managers/supervisors of other departments and join production meetings and food safety meetings to assist the daily production with your (technical) input.
- Manage relationships with contractors and service providers.
- Adhering to all policies, procedures and programs of the company (GMP, Quality, Food Safety and Health & Safety etc) at all times.

Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years working experience in food manufacturing environment at managerial level.
- University degree in Mechanical or electrical stream.
- Relevant operating licenses or equivalent.
- Knowledge of HACCP and related food safety procedures.
- Can multi-task in an effective manner and work under tight deadlines.
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees and management.
- Intermediate computer skills including Email, MS Excel, Word.
- Ability to work flexible hours including some overtime, Saturdays and/or afternoon shifts when needed.
- Strong knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point), CFIA, SQF/GFSI. Lean manufacturing concepts, BRC certification as asset.
- Enthusiastic learner and proactive individual with the ability to effectively manage various projects concurrently.
- Strong time management and organizational skills. A results-oriented individual with excellent problem solving and organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and deliver high-quality results within specified time frames.
- Attention to detail, ability to prioritize and make judgments, and a sense of urgency will be important to the candidate’s success.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
- This is a Full Time, permanent position
- Exempt position 40 hours per week, and it may require working additional hours depending on business need requirements.
- This is an on-site position and not a candidate for remote work.
